Welcome friends! | Why are we selling tea?

We started Japonica Tafé out of the need to share our tea experience with others.  When asked about good tea vs. bad tea, a wise tea connoisseur once told us that, “Form is to function as leaves are to tea,” convincing us that the market is full of leaves but devoid of a real intimate experience and connection to tea.

Since then our goal has been to drive transformative change by carefully treating the problem.  We want to liberate the average tea consumer from the entrails of tasteless leaves and give them more options, more convenience, and more control.

Our tea selection is comprised of only the highest quality, whole-leaf teas, many of which are grown in places like China, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, South Africa, and India.  Whether it is green, oolong, fruity tisanes/herbal infusions, black, or white tea, we believe that our collection will surely invigorate and challenge your palate, while simultaneously soothing your senses.
